Coachella Valley Real Estate Market - January 2018


The Coachella Valley real estate market is kicking off the New Year STRONG! 

In reviewing the current market statistics for the Coachella Valley housing market, January of 2018 varied from January 2017, Closed Sales are up 4.6%, Pending Sales are up 22% and Active Listings are down 17.6%. The median price was up a whopping 15.1% compared to this same time month last year.


2018 is starting off in much the same fashion that 2017 finished. Inventory continues to decline while the sales activity continues to grow. While the increase in median price year-over-year is significantly higher than the past year's trend, the pending sales should translate into sustained increase in values. 


With anticipated interest rate hikes in the foreseeable future, now is the time to buy and as prices continues to increase, it's a great time to sell
